If everyone is to enjoy themselves, it is necessary that everyone also shows consideration and consideration. We must remember that all people are different and therefore have different thresholds for what is perceived as disturbing. It should go without saying that everyone has the right to peace and quiet in their own home, but it also requires that everyone show consideration.

You naturally have the right to live a normal life, move freely, speak and play music, etc. in your apartment. However, remember that between ten o'clock in the evening and seven in the morning (10 p.m. – 7 a.m.) you must show extra consideration. Therefore, you should also warn your neighbors in advance if you intend to have a party at home. Also remember that even if you have guests, it is you as the tenant who is responsible for ensuring that they do not disturb you in any way!

If, after all, it is one of your neighbors who is disturbing you, first try to tell them in a calm and friendly way that you are being disturbed. If this does not help, you can contact our Safety Hotline. You can of course also contact the police if you feel it is justified. You can also report it to us at Ljusdalshem afterwards. In the event of disturbances during office hours, please contact us. If you wish, you can remain anonymous to the person causing the disturbance, but we would like you to provide your name, address and telephone number when you call.

Common areas

Some areas are shared by all tenants, such as stairwells, laundry rooms, basements, attics, etc. For everyone's comfort and safety, you must remember to never park bicycles and strollers in the stairwells. This must be free for, for example, evacuation in the event of a fire, medical transport or cleaning. You are also not allowed to put shoes, skis or roller skis here because it makes it difficult for our cleaners.

Smoking

For fire safety reasons and out of consideration for allergy sufferers, smoking is prohibited in all public areas within Ljusdalshem.

Balcony and patio

The balcony or patio can be a pleasant place to be and socialize, but a few things are important to keep in mind here!
• Do not whip or shake carpets. The dust spreads and can disturb others.
• If you want to grill, only use an electric grill. Never a charcoal grill or gas grill on the balcony. For the sake of neighborliness – check that the neighbors are not disturbed by the grill noise before you start grilling.
• For safety reasons, balcony boxes must be placed on the inside of the balcony railing.
• To set up your own satellite dishes, permission is required from Ljusdalshem.

Watch out for children

Children often play in the residential area and, as is well known, children do not always think ahead when things get wild. Therefore, do not drive into the residential area's alleys with a car or bicycle. If you still have to do so, e.g. for heavy transport, drive slowly and be extra vigilant.
If you have your own children, you must also teach them to be considerate. It is important that everyone helps to create a pleasant living environment. Teach the children not to litter and help us ensure that children and young people are careful about plants, flower beds, glass windows, facades, playgrounds, etc.

The laundry room

Everyone benefits from a clean, neat and fresh laundry room. Read carefully and follow the instructions on how to use the machines. You will benefit the most from this, not least because it will give you the best washing results!
If you are going to wash garments that can cause damage to the washing machine, you must use a laundry bag. A bra with a stuck underwire is one of the most common reasons for a washing machine to break down. Remember to always report a fault if something is not working.
Don't forget to cancel if you are prevented from doing so, or for some other reason you don't intend to use your washing time.
When you have finished washing, you must wipe down the machines, benches and floors. Also leave the laundry room on time so that the next user doesn't have to wait for you. Respect the washing times!

Don't feed birds

Don't feed birds near residential areas. Unfortunately, birds litter a lot, both with their droppings and with dropped food. The food can in turn attract rats and mice to the area. There is also a certain risk that diseases, such as salmonella, can be spread from the birds. In addition, seagulls can be attracted there and they can make a lot of noise.

What is a nuisance?

What is a nuisance is perceived differently by people. Living a normal family life is not a nuisance. Hearing children playing from time to time can be expected when living in an apartment building. Likewise, the neighbor sometimes uses the shower or flushes the toilet at night or that family and friends come and visit your neighbor. These are some examples of so-called normal family life.

What, on the other hand, can be perceived as a nuisance is music played at high volume, fighting and screaming, dogs barking or other sometimes very persistent noises in apartments and stairwells.
